Coldingham Beach

A lovely walk from Scoutscroft or Coldingham Bay Leisure Parks will take you to this hidden gem. Lined with colourful beach huts along the golden sand, the beach provides a great photo opportunity. The beach has a relaxed feel, with plenty of grassy areas and dunes.

There's a cafe next to the beach if you're in need of a refreshment, and you can even hire your own beach hut. Dogs are allowed on the beach, but must be kept on a lead between June and September.

Pease Bay

This sandy beach is the perfect option for those seeking a relaxing coastal escape with the added bonus of gorgeous sunset views. It's very popular with dog owners as there's plenty of space for them to run around and explore. It's also a great place for surfing due to its exposed position, and there are often water sports events held on the beach.

Being adjacent to an award-winning holiday park, there are plenty of facilities available including parking, a bar and restaurant, and a play area.

Eyemouth Beach

Little ones are likely to enjoy looking for sea creatures in rock pools during low tide at this sandy beach, and you can often spot seals in the harbour! It's also right next to the town of Eyemouth which offers cafes, restaurants, and a leisure centre, making it perfect for families. 

The beach is located next to a working harbour, where you can often spot the fishermen at work.

Berwick Beach

Popular for fishing and walking, this sandy beach is located next to the Berwickshire Coastal Path. There is a long pier separating the beach from the River Tweed, at the end of which is a lighthouse - you'll find great views here. Overall, this beach is perfect for a quiet and relaxing stroll.

The town of Berwick has plenty of facilities like restaurants, shops, and public transport.

Cocklawburn Beach

Part of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this sandy and rocky beach provides ample opportunity to capture breathtaking views. See beautiful wildflowers in the dunes during summer, or look to the horizon to spot Holy Island on a clear day.

This beach is also a great spot for water sports including surfing, wind surfing, and kite surfing. You're also likely to spot some interesting rock pools which are perfect for little explorers.

Belhaven Beach

Known for its interesting 'bridge to nowhere', this beach is a great spot for a day out. It has scenic views over the Forth Estuary, opportunities for surfing and kite flying, and a promenade for walking. It's also a lovely place to sit and have a picnic.

The beach offers great facilities, including toilets, disabled access, and a first aid point.
