Revenue Manager

Location: Verdant Leisure, 10 Mannin Way, Lancaster, LA1 3SW

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 (dependent upon experience)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time position of 37.5hrs a week, Monday to Friday. (Hybrid working available)

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Revenue and working closely with the sales and operations teams, our Revenue Manager is responsible for implementing occupancy and revenue management strategies to optimise holiday hire and touring revenue.

Typical duties and responsibilities include:

  • Revenue Strategy Development: Implement and continuously refine dynamic pricing strategies to optimise revenue across accommodation types, activities, and other on-site services.
  • Reporting: Analyse market trends, occupancy levels, and competitor pricing to forecast demand and recommend pricing adjustments.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and monitor inventory levels across various booking channels.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Utilise data analytics tools and reports to track performance, identify opportunities, and present actionable insights to the wider team for revenue growth.
  • Yield Management: Implement yield management techniques to ensure the most profitable use of inventory, adjusting pricing to meet fluctuating demand while maintain brand positioning.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Assist in developing annual revenue budgets and financial plans for the holiday parks.
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular competitor benchmarking to understand the market landscape, adjusting pricing and strategy accordingly.
  • Reporting & KPI tracking: Produce and present revenue reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and analytics on an ongoing basis, making recommendations for improvements.

About the Person

With previous experience in a similar role, you should have strong data analysis, interpretation and reporting skills. You will need proven successes in yield management and show a clear and up-to-date understanding of the UK holiday sector.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience with revenue management systems and data analysis tools
  • Excellent understanding of yield management and pricing strategies
  • Critical thinking ability – analysing data, anticipating results or outcomes and making logical decisions based on the information
  • Hands-on problem solving with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • Demonstrable understanding of the hotel or holiday park sector and a good commercial awareness
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel
